Hi, I’m Shelbi!
If you spend five minutes with me, you will probably learn three things pretty quickly: I love my people deeply, I plan almost everything early, and I am usually the one with my phone out capturing a moment everyone else is busy living.
SLK Creative Co. grew from that part of me. I felt the Lord gently nudging me to turn something I already loved into a way to serve other people. Now I get to preserve the moments that pass too quickly and give them back in a way that feels natural, joyful, and true to the people in them.
When I am invited into your wedding, balloon event, or celebration, I do not take that lightly. I will show up prepared, care about the details, work respectfully alongside your entire team, and capture your story in a way that feels honest and completely yours.
I will probably arrive early, notice the things you did not see, and care about your day like it matters, because it does.
I am married to my husband, Nick, who is a hot air balloon pilot, and we share our home with our dog, Kimber. Ballooning is a huge part of our life together. Many of our weekends begin before sunrise with weather checks, crew calls, and drives to launch fields, then end with us chasing a balloon down country roads. It is exciting, unpredictable, and filled with moments worth remembering.

When we are not at a balloon event, I am happiest at home with Nick and Kimber, spending time with family, working on a craft, planning something much earlier than necessary, or looking back through the hundreds of little videos I have saved because I never want to forget how a moment felt.
I am a homebody at heart, but when I am doing something I love, I am completely invested. I love meaningful conversations, learning what people are passionate about, and helping bring an idea to life. I am also someone who notices the small things. The quiet reaction across the room, the hug happening outside the spotlight, the friend fixing your veil, or the crew working together just outside the frame.

Travel within a 50 mile radius of Jeromesville, Ohio, is included in your package. For locations beyond that radius, a $1 per-mile travel fee applies only to the additional distance and is calculated round trip.
